What is the difference between Hemp and Marijuana?

Answer: Unlike marijuana, hemp contains extremely low (less than 0.3%) THC. THC is the compound in marijuana that is psychoactive.

Is Hemp Legal?

Answer: The legality of Cannabidiol from hemp is based on a 2004 unanimous ruling by the 9th Circuit Court of Appeals, which determined that the DEA “cannot regulate naturally-occurring THC not contained within or derived from marijuana, i.e., non-psychoactive hemp is not included in Schedule I. The DEA has no authority to regulate drugs that are not scheduled..”

Do we ship to all 50 States?

Answer: Yes, we can ship to all 50 states.

What are the dosage requirements?

Answer: Legally, we are unable to make dosage recommendations, but would suggest doing some further research at ProjectCBD.org. Linked is their Patient Guidance page, which has a wide array of information for using industrial hemp, as well as recommended dosage. To that point, industrial hemp affects everyone differently - both immediately and over time - so the product and dosage that works best for each person would need to depend on the individual.

Will I pass a drug test?

Answer: Our bars contain less than 0.3% THC. However, we are unable to legally state whether or not one of our customers will pass a drug test for any of our products. If that is a concern, I would recommend doing some further research at ProjectCBD.org, before making the decision to consume any hemp products.

When will my package ship?

Answer: Generally, all packages are shipped out via USPS Priority within 48 hours after payment has processed. We work within normal business hours M-F. Our policy states to allow 2-4 days for fulfillment which is in place to give 5280 Bars time to process all orders during periods of higher volume.

What is hemp extract?

Answer: Hemp Extract is produced from industrial hemp that contains less than 0.03% THC on a dry weight basis, It is extracted from the stalks and stems of the plant to produce the hemp extract which contain multiple cannabinoids. The hemp plant is full of non-psychoactive cannabinoids and less than 3% of the psychoactive cannabinoids.

What ailments can full spectrum hemp help with?

Answer: Go to ProjectCBD.org to learn more about how hemp can you heal.

Why do people use Hemp Extracts? What are the benefits and uses of Industrial Hemp?

Answer: In accordance with federal regulations, we cannot make health claims regarding our dietary supplement products. We can only recommend our products for general wellness.

Is a standard hemp seed oil the same as Full Spectrum hemp extract?

Answer: Definitely not. Standard hemp oil, which can be found very cheaply at a grocery store, is a much different product than our full spectrum hemp extracts (not from seed). Standard hemp oil is produced by cold pressing the seeds, whereas our hemp extract is a full plant extraction with many components not typically found in the seeds. Hemp seed oil is considered to be a great nutritive food, but it doesn’t have the naturally occurring terpenes, cannabinoids and other components that our extracts do have.

What is the endocannabinoid system (ECS)?

Answer: “The endocannabinoid system (ECS) is a group of endogenous cannabinoid receptors located in the mammalian brain and throughout the central and peripheral nervous systems, consisting of neuromodulatory lipids and their receptors.” Wikipedia There are two main types of receptors in the ECS, CB1 and CB2. CB1 receptors are primarily located in the central nervous system and brains of mammals, and CB2 are generally found in the peripheral nervous system. There are two main cannabinoids mammals produce- 2AG and Anandamide (named after the Sanskrit term “Ananda,” which translates to “peace”). For hundreds of millions of years every vertebrate on Earth has been equipped with this ECS, a crucial system in the body, and it has been known about in the scientific and medical communities since the 1980’s. However, it’s still not taught about in most medical schools.

About Us :

Established in 2010, The Paleo Foundation was first organized for the purpose of improving the tolerability of the paleo diet, and to help adherents easily identify products that met its basic tenets.  Since then, thousands of products have been certified through the Certified Paleo, Keto Certified, and lab -tested Grain-Free Gluten-Free certification programs.

Disclosures:

100% of  Paleo Foundation revenue is generated through certifications.  We do not accept donations, corporate sponsorships, or financially benefit from the sales of any certified products, product giveaways, or partnerships with industry contacts or retailers for the purpose of maintaining the integrity of an impartial certification standard.

Certified Paleo logo Certified Paleo:

Each certification program has a different set of standards.  Certified Paleo is the Paleo Foundation’s first, most popular, and highest level of certification for Paleo-compliant products.  Certified Paleo Products are products that contain Paleo ingredients, but may have some 21st-century processing or packaging methods allowing for shelf stability.

Grain Free Gluten Free Certified LogoGrain-Free Gluten-Free:

Grain Free Gluten Free Certified products are gluten-free and do not contain any grains of gliadin competitive residues.  All Grain-Free Gluten-Free products have undergone two rounds of audits, including lab tests, and a final review to become approved for the Grain-free Gluten-free Certified Program.

Keto Certified LogoKeto Certified:

The ketogenic diet is a restrictive, demanding diet that can be difficult to maintain, and tolerability of the ketogenic diet is the single most important factor limiting individual acceptance for initiation.  Therefore, improving the tolerability of the ketogenic diet is crucial to preventing diet discontinuation, warranting further investigation into methods for improving palatability, improving the availability and convenience of foods that are compliant with the ketogenic diet, as well as addressing cultural and social acceptance.

The Keto Diet product market may be in a unique position to improve tolerability, especially in social and cultural environments that typically feature carbohydrate-rich “special occasion” types of foods. In 2016, the Paleo Foundation launched the world's first Keto Certified program for products with standards that were developed for adherence to a classical ketogenic diet.
