About The Brand

AWAKE was created to meet the need for a caffeinated energy product with truly delicious taste. Dan Tzozis, Matt Schnarr, and Adam Deremo, friends and co-founders of AWAKE Chocolate believed that consumers shouldn’t have to settle for bitter, funky tasting beverages to get that pick-me-up that so many of us are looking for.

Our work culture emulates our brand: hardworking, entrepreneurial, effective and above all fun! We’re on a journey to redefine energy and disrupt the chocolate category along the way. We are just getting started and so far, we are available in 20,000 stores in North America including Wal-Mart, Meijer, HEB and Loblaws. AWAKE is a top performer on thousands of college campuses. Huzzah!

FAQ

Does AWAKE chocolate expire?
  • Nope. Huzzah!
Are AWAKE chocolates vegan?
  • AWAKE Caffeinated Chocolate Bites, Vegan, Dark Chocolate Energy Snack, 1 Bite Equals 1/2 Cup of Coffee, 50 Bites.
How much caffeine is in an awake bite?
  • Each bar contains 100mg of caffeine. That’s as much as a small cup of coffee or 8.4oz energy drink.
Do AWAKE bars work?
  • While (probably) nothing can replace your morning cup of coffee, Awake chocolate is an excellent study aid when you need a kick of caffeine to get through your studying, it’s delicious, and it’s worth a try.
Doesn't all chocolate have caffeine?
  • It’s true, friends. Chocolate naturally contains a small amount of caffeine. According to the USDA, it’s about 10 mg per ounce of chocolate. The darker the chocolate (i.e. the higher the cacao percentage), the more the caffeine. Although, that’s nowhere near enough caffeine to put more pep in your step. That’s where my beloved caffeinated chocolate comes in. Each bite sized pieces is comparable to 1/2 cup of coffee.
What ingredients are used in the "no sugar added" flavors?
  • Each ingredient list is included on each product page here: Dark Chocolate Almond Sea Salt Peanut Butter
