Our family has always enjoyed time around the kitchen table, whether it’s celebrating one of life’s milestones or enjoying a weeknight dinner together. Food has been at the center of celebrations, milestones, and the daily routines of life in our family. But we’re not the Waltons. We’re often on the run just like you and we don’t always make the best food choices. Some members of our family have serious food allergies and restrictions in our diets. That has made life more challenging. We have cancer survivors in our family who are so much more aware and concerned about what they eat. You might have that in your family too.
Our relationships with food is complex and we have come to appreciate that good clean ingredients can form the basis of a healthy and positive vibe. We all need some help when it comes to preparing a nutritious meal when we have limited time. We want our food to taste great and we want to know that the ingredients are up to our high standards. Convenient, flavorful, organic food. That’s why we started Beetnik.

Beetnik was born from our founder David Perkins' love of great food, and his view that great food comes from great ingredients. That's so important to him that he invested in some of the best farmers and ranchers in Central Texas.... people who are passionate about their products, their people and the environment...fellow Beetniks.

At Beetnik, family comes first. Our family may be rooted in our east Austin bungalow headquarters, but it extends to our farm, ranch, and manufacturing partners, to the shops that carry our products and to the like-minded folks that encourage and support us every time they invite us into their life by taking a moment to enjoy a wholesome Beetnik meal.

Our food philosophy is as simple as the ingredients that we use. Great food comes from great ingredients. That’s why we ensure that all of our foods are certified USDA Organic so that you never have to read a Beetnik label to know that you’re getting nothing but the unadulterated goodness that only nature can provide.

We believe in doing things right for our planet, for ourselves, and for future generations. We only work with people who are passionate about their products and the environment. We only cook with ethically raised organic proteins. Our retail packaging is recyclable and our sleeve is designed to use less material than conventional frozen food packaging.

About Us :
Established in 2010, The Paleo Foundation was first organized for the purpose of improving the tolerability of the paleo diet, and to help adherents easily identify products that met its basic tenets. Since then, thousands of products have been certified through the Certified Paleo, Keto Certified, and lab -tested Grain-Free Gluten-Free certification programs.

Certified Paleo:
Certified Paleo:Each certification program has a different set of standards. Certified Paleo is the Paleo Foundation’s first, most popular, and highest level of certification for Paleo-compliant products. Certified Paleo Products are products that contain Paleo ingredients, but may have some 21st-century processing or packaging methods allowing for shelf stability.
Grain-Free Gluten-Free:
Grain-Free Gluten-Free: Grain Free Gluten Free Certified products are gluten-free and do not contain any grains of gliadin competitive residues. All Grain-Free Gluten-Free products have undergone two rounds of audits, including lab tests, and a final review to become approved for the Grain-free Gluten-free Certified Program.
Keto Certified:
Keto Certified: The ketogenic diet is a restrictive, demanding diet that can be difficult to maintain, and tolerability of the ketogenic diet is the single most important factor limiting individual acceptance for initiation. Therefore, improving the tolerability of the ketogenic diet is crucial to preventing diet discontinuation, warranting further investigation into methods for improving palatability, improving the availability and convenience of foods that are compliant with the ketogenic diet, as well as addressing cultural and social acceptance.
The Keto Diet product market may be in a unique position to improve tolerability, especially in social and cultural environments that typically feature carbohydrate-rich “special occasion” types of foods. In 2016, the Paleo Foundation launched the world's first Keto Certified program for products with standards that were developed for adherence to a classical ketogenic diet.
