House of Macadamias

Despite their superior nutritional and health benefits, Macadamias haven’t shared the same ubiquitous market accessibility compared to the likes of peanuts, almonds, and cashews.

Up until now, macadamia’s unique climate and growth requirements along with their isolated farming and production locations has left them vulnerable to market exploitation. So much so that the price has more than quadrupled in the last 10 years! Costly barriers to entry at the hands of wholesalers, distributors and marketing agents, meant that macadamias came at a price point many few could afford.

About the Brand

Most people automatically think of Hawaii or Australia when someone mentions “macadamias”. Well, as it turns out, South Africa is in fact the macadamia farming capital of the world. With ideal agricultural conditions and local farmers renowned for being some of the best, South Africa currently holds the record in macadamia yields and quality. However, their longstanding farming heritage has been threatened by political instability and land attacks, with little done to help up until now.

By partnering directly with the best local South African farmers, we are able to put money back in the pockets of the farmers and bring you this premium nut at a more affordable price. In order to ensure the long-term health of the industry, we also work with select farmers who share the same eco-friendly mindset that we as a company promote and use new sustainable and water-conserving irrigation technologies. Our macadamia nuts and products are then packaged within a short drive from the South African farms, ensuring freshness and a more cost-effective supply chain. No middlemen. No cutting corners. True plant-farm to table.
