KC Natural BBQ Sauce
Whether you are allergic to tomatoes or want to avoid nightshades altogether, it can be difficult to find tasty substitutes for your favorite sauces and condiments.

The KC Natural story
KC Natural was founded in 2015 with a purpose: To make delicious gluten-free BBQ sauces accessible to all BBQ lovers. The sudden popularity of our Mastodon AIP BBQ sauce led to the creation of our tart cherry –infused Primal Cherry blend. These two first-ever AIP-friendly BBQ sauces were such a hit, because they were needed – and delicious.
As members of our own team started following AIP-skewed diets to eliminate allergens and inflammatory ingredients, we decided to adapt other types of recipes that other people like us were craving.
This new inspiration led to the creation of our brand new no-tomato pasta sauce and tomato-free ketchup products. In late 2017, we will also debut a seed-free mustard style product with a honey Dijon flavor. We hope that our new line of condiments will continue to delight and inspire those with food sensitivities.
Above all though, we are members of the AIP community, as well as servants in our roles at KC Natural. So if you want to know anything else about us, just ask! We all live in Kansas City and love it here like no other. But no matter where you call home, we’ll always treat you like a neighbor when you contact us.
Thanks again for supporting KC Natural. And good luck on your own journey towards a healthier, happier life!

How are our products made?
Answer: KC Natural products are made in small batches of 600-700 bottles per batch at our Kansas City area production facility. This helps ensure that you receive quality products that are as fresh as they can be when they reach your dinner table.
Why is KC Natural committed to being Paleo and AIP-Friendly?
Answer: KC Natural was founded by owner Brendon O’Neill after experiencing autoimmune health issues, similar to those that affect 1-in-5 Americans. After discovering the Paleo AIP approach to healing, we realized the need (and the desire) to serve the community that relies on this dietary lifestyle to recover from a wide variety of autoimmune illness. We also believe in these products because they are even loved by people who don’t have any restrictions in their diet. Read more about our story.
Can we order the products online?
Answer: Yes! We currently have listings on Amazon that you can check out by following this link. We are also in the process of building an online shop that will offer the best deals on KC Natural’s AIP-friendly products on the Internet!
What's up with our name?
Answer: KC Natural started as a BBQ sauce company in Kansas City – the World Capital of BBQ. ‘KC’ is a reference to our hometown roots, and ‘Natural’ explains our approach to simple recipe creation with ingredients you can pronounce. (And, we just think it’s a pretty cool name.)
What can I do to help spread the word?
Answer: Hey, that was REALLY nice of you to ask! As a small company of a handful of people, we appreciate any grassroots support we can get. Please tell your favorite grocer about us. And if you order our products, and love them, pretty please take a moment to leave a nice review on Amazon. It helps give others the confidence to try our products and support our small business.
About Us :
Established in 2010, The Paleo Foundation was first organized for the purpose of improving the tolerability of the paleo diet, and to help adherents easily identify products that met its basic tenets. Since then, thousands of products have been certified through the Certified Paleo, Keto Certified, and lab -tested Grain-Free Gluten-Free certification programs.
Disclosures:
100% of Paleo Foundation revenue is generated through certifications. We do not accept donations, corporate sponsorships, or financially benefit from the sales of any certified products, product giveaways, or partnerships with industry contacts or retailers for the purpose of maintaining the integrity of an impartial certification standard.
Certified Paleo:
Each certification program has a different set of standards. Certified Paleo is the Paleo Foundation’s first, most popular, and highest level of certification for Paleo-compliant products. Certified Paleo Products are products that contain Paleo ingredients, but may have some 21st-century processing or packaging methods allowing for shelf stability.
Grain-Free Gluten-Free:
Grain Free Gluten Free Certified products are gluten-free and do not contain any grains of gliadin competitive residues. All Grain-Free Gluten-Free products have undergone two rounds of audits, including lab tests, and a final review to become approved for the Grain-free Gluten-free Certified Program.
Keto Certified:
The ketogenic diet is a restrictive, demanding diet that can be difficult to maintain, and tolerability of the ketogenic diet is the single most important factor limiting individual acceptance for initiation. Therefore, improving the tolerability of the ketogenic diet is crucial to preventing diet discontinuation, warranting further investigation into methods for improving palatability, improving the availability and convenience of foods that are compliant with the ketogenic diet, as well as addressing cultural and social acceptance.
The Keto Diet product market may be in a unique position to improve tolerability, especially in social and cultural environments that typically feature carbohydrate-rich “special occasion” types of foods. In 2016, the Paleo Foundation launched the world's first Keto Certified program for products with standards that were developed for adherence to a classical ketogenic diet.
