About the Brand
Rose Charters decided to tackle the challenge of making the perfect, easy-to-prepare pie crust. She called her product Krusteaz® pie crust (cleverly combining “crust” and “ease”). Rose and her husband James started selling the mix to friends, neighbors and local cafes. They quickly outgrew their home kitchen and soon opened the first manufacturing plant in Seattle.
As the company began to grow, so did their innovative products. The introduction of Krusteaz “just add water” pancake mix was revolutionary for the 1940s, when it came out and is still one of their most popular products today. They’ve now expanded past the Northwest and are able to offer their products to everyone across the country. With their gluten free and keto friendly line, their mixes are now more accessible than ever before.
