Lovve Lavva

At Lavva, we’re on a mission to realize the full potential of plant-based foods made without compromise.

Our founder, Liz Fisher, conceived Lavva with this goal in mind. She knew she had her work cut out for her. Most non-dairy brands were adding gums, coloring agents, natural flavors, or sugar to lower costs and expedite the manufacturing process, so we forged our own path — and set a new standard.

About the Brand

I created Lavva when I discovered Pili nuts while following a strict keto diet on a recovery journey from cancer. Nutritionally, Pili nuts are a superfood. Blown away by the Pili’s smooth, buttery flavor I began blending them with coconut milk and the result was unlike anything I’d ever tasted before: spoonably thick, deliciously rich. It took years to perfect because our mission has always been to have zero added sugar or processing agents like gums, emulsifiers or even natural flavors (a place where a bunch of tricks hideout).

Right now, more than ever, immune health is top of mind, and we know that 70-80% of our immune cells are housed in the gut. It was this incredible fact that drove us to craft a cultured superfood with a 50 billion probiotic count per cup in our signature Lavva yogurt. It was something that could ONLY happen in nature. With our latest innovation – Lavva Plant Milk, we recognized a need for a sustainable plant milk, made with real food ingredients. We spent countless hours developing a milk that is rich and creamy with no need for oil, emulsifiers or stabilizers. Our unsweetened milk is just 3 simple ingredients. Today, I am so excited to be able to share our functional superfoods with all of you. Thank you so much for supporting Lavva’s mission and for spreading the lovve.

FAQ

What's Lavva?
  • At Lavva, we’re on a mission to realize the full potential of plant-based foods made without compromise. Our founder Liz Fisher launched Lavva in 2017 with this goal in mind, knowing she had her work cut out for her. Most non-dairy brands were adding gums, coloring agents, natural flavors, or sugar to lower costs and expedite the manufacturing process, so we forged our own path — and set a new standard.
What's a pili nut? Are they sustainable?
  • Grown in nutrient-rich volcanic soil found in Southeast Asia, the Pili tree has been wild harvested for centuries. Pili nuts need nothing more than rainwater to sprout and grow, making them naturally sustainable. Wild Pili trees actually prevent soil erosion and restore the land disrupted by nearby volcanic activity as well as encourage the process of natural pollination without the use of chemicals. Pili nuts are the lowest carb nut on the planet and are rich in magnesium and Vitamin E as well as nourishing plant fats (especially monounsaturated fats (MUFAs) known to support heart health and brain function). They are also a complete protein, containing all eight essential amino acids.
What makes Lavva's yogurt so special?
  • Unlike many other non-dairy yogurts that rely on added sugar, gums, whitening agents, and carrageenan to achieve their taste and texture, Lavva uses only densely nourishing, real food ingredients. Plus, Lavva is the only yogurt on the planet crafted with buttery Pili nuts.
What's the difference between your flagship yogurt line and your Molten Lavva?
  • We created Molten Lavva to serve as a nourishing indulgence. It’s thicker in texture than our flagship Lavva yogurt thanks to a higher content of pili nuts and coconut cream. By using a proprietary blend of erythritol, monk fruit, and mesquite powder, Molten Lavva has a balanced sweetness with only 3-4 net carbs.
Where does the sugar in Lavva Plant Milk come from?
  • We don’t add any sugar to either the Unsweetened or Chocolate varieties, and all the sugar content is derived from real, whole foods. Both varieties contain unsweetened coconut water, and we add dates to Chocolate for a balanced flavor.
Do you use oil in the milks or creamer?
  • Nope. Our team leaned into the natural properties of the Pili nut so that we wouldn’t have to use any oils or other emulsifiers.
