NOOMA The Organic Electrolyte Drink
The Real Ingredient Sports Drink.
That means we use a couple of electrolyte-packed ingredients, organic coconut water and pink Himalayan salt, as the foundation of a better sports drink. No added sugar and zero artificial flavors, sweeteners, or preservatives.
Just 30 calories of effective, delicious, feel your best throughout every workout, hydration.
How We Stack Up.
Instead of artificial ingredients we use organic and real ingredients. No words you can’t pronounce, preservatives, or Red 40.
Typical sports drinks have over 40 grams of added sugar, NOOMA has 0 added sugar, all 5 grams of it coming naturally from organic coconut water.
Our low osmolarity means that the electrolytes are absorbed quickly and you are hydrated fast. Carb heavy sports drinks can sit in your stomach and take longer to hydrate you.
All of it makes NOOMA the sports drink you’ll actually love putting in your body.

Brandon and Jarred, Founders
The NOOMA Brothers
This mission, and the NOOMA story, began for us as two hockey-playing brothers with one simple problem: we couldn’t stand the sugar-packed, artificial sports drinks we’d been given as college and pro athletes.
So with our business partner Chris, we started NOOMA and decided to take the idea of a sports drink and flip it on its head - use organic and functional ingredients, no added sugar, and an ingredient label anyone could understand.
Then, we threw ourselves in the fitness community, crushing burpees at CrossFit one day and holding chair pose in yoga the next. Always bringing a cooler full of NOOMA for everyone to enjoy after a sweat.
After countless of these “sweaty samplings” we came to realize that our journey wasn’t just leading us to developing a drink everyone would love after a workout. It opened our eyes to the lasting impact sweating together can have and change people’s lives for the better. It led us to the mission of NOOMA.

NOOMA Natural Electrolyte Replacement
You can’t talk about proper hydration without electrolyte replacement. But what exactly are electrolytes? Simply put, they are electrically charged particles that help the body function by doing things like maintain fluid balance in cells and help muscles function properly.
When you’re working up a sweat, you’re losing predominantly two electrolytes: sodium and potassium. To stay properly hydrated it’s important to replenish those minerals in a way your body can process quickly – insert electrolyte replacement drinks.
Unlike many of the electrolyte replacement drinks you’ll see out there, we rely exclusively on real ingredients that are naturally rich in these minerals to provide everything you need. Potassium from organic coconuts and sodium from natural sea salt. Simple, functional ingredients you can pronounce and feel good about putting in your body.
Organic Ingredients
When it comes to fueling your body, you have standards. We get it. Us too. That’s why we’re committed to using to using only clean, organic ingredients. It helps us stand apart from those “healthy sports drinks” out there.
Go ahead, take a look at the label. You’ll see no more than six simple ingredients you can trust and pronounce. All of our drinks are certified USDA Organic, Non-GMO Project Verified, gluten-free, Paleo Friendly, vegan and Kosher. Meaning our ingredients are produced without the use of fertilizers, bioengineering or antibiotics and prohibit all artificial preservatives, flavors and dyes. It wasn’t easy, but it’s important to us and we know it is for you too.
The Importance of Hydration
The importance of hydration is nothing new, but there’s a lot of conflicting things out there about what’s “smart”. So let’s start with the basics: when you workout, you sweat. When you sweat, you’re losing fluids and electrolytes. So to stay properly hydrated you need to replace your fluids and electrolytes.
We can really see the importance of hydration when we take a look at what can happen to you when you get dehydrated. A number of studies have shown that just a 2% loss in bodyweight from sweat can significantly decrease mental and physical performance. Dehydration can also bring about some pretty nasty side effects like those cramps that always seem to show up at the worst time, impaired muscle function, headaches, nausea and fatigue.
Smart Packaging
You may have noticed that NOOMA looks a little different than most of the other electrolyte drinks on the shelf. Well, there’s a reason behind our packaging choice. The Tetra Pak carton and the aseptic packaging process allows us to completely eliminate the need for preservatives or any acid in our drinks.
That means no citric acid, no additives, no funky ingredients “to preserve freshness” and a refreshing, smooth tastes. While it’s totally safe to drink NOOMA even when it’s not refrigerated we still like them the most cold, waiting for us after a good sweat to deliver that perfect moment of post-workout bliss.

Is NOOMA Effective?
Answer: Yes. We crafted NOOMA with a low osmolality and followed the World Health Organization’s guide to a proper Oral Rehydration Solution. That means our high electrolyte and low sugar formula is quickly absorbed by your body and hydrates you fast.
What are electrolytes and why do I need them?
Answer: Electrolytes are charged minerals that help keep your body operating properly. When you workout you sweat. When you sweat, you lose more than just fluids, you lose electrolytes too. To stay optimally hydrated, prevent cramps, keep muscles working, and keep your body performing at its best, it’s important to replace these electrolytes.
Where do you get your electrolytes from?
Answer: We get our electrolytes from real ingredients, organic coconut water and pink Himalayan salt, never artificials. Together they provide the most important electrolytes for hydration - coconut water gives potassium and pink Himalayan salt gives sodium.
When do I drink NOOMA?
Answer: NOOMA is intended to be consumed during or after a workout to stay properly hydrated. That said, with such low sugar and calorie levels, it is perfectly healthy to drink at any time throughout the day, especially if you’re feeling dehydrated.
Is NOOMA just a coconut water?
Answer: NOOMA is not just a coconut water. We use organic coconut water as a naturally functional ingredient that has a ton of electrolytes and not much sugar. We then add pink Himalayan salt to provide additional electrolytes (sodium) that coconut water alone doesn’t have. These two core ingredients make NOOMA specifically crafted to help you hydrate when working out. Since we use coconut water as a functional ingredient and not for the entire drink, NOOMA is 28% coconut water and therefore has much less sugar and calories than a full coconut water. Additionally, NOOMA does not taste like an unflavored coconut water.
Why do you use coconut water from concentrate?
Answer: By using organic coconut water from concentrate we’re able to get all of the benefits of coconut water, but with a sourcing method that is more reliable and efficient than not-from-concentrate coconut water.
Why stevia?
Answer: We use organic stevia leaf extract to get that perfect flavor pop and sweetness to make NOOMA taste great without adding any sugar. The version of stevia we use is organic, from a leaf, and does not include any artificial blends. Stevia also helps NOOMA be an even more effective hydration drink - it keeps the sugar very low and therefore allows the electrolytes to be absorbed quickly by your body. We’ve worked hard on our formula to mitigate the stevia taste some people have an aversion to.
Isn't stevia an artificial sweetener?
Answer: No, the stevia we use is an organic leaf extract. Some versions of stevia do add artificial components to it, but we do not do this.
Where do the flavors come from?
Answer: NOOMA uses all organic flavors. That means we get our flavor from plant-based oils, extracts, and essences to make NOOMA taste great. All flavors are also non-GMO, vegan, gluten-free, and Kosher. So the watermelon flavor came from an organic watermelon. The chocolate flavor is an extract from organic cocoa beans.
Why is NOOMA clear?
Answer: We don’t add anything into our drink for color. The extracts from the organic fruits we use to flavor NOOMA are naturally very light in color, especially with the amount used in each drink. This is true for Chocolate Mint as well, with the amount of organic chocolate flavor used, it is clear. If you saw the the flavors used for production by themselves in large quantities, it would be brown, pink, orange, etc.
Why is NOOMA in this package?
Answer: NOOMA has no acid preservatives. In order to be shelf stable without any additives or preservatives, we use the Tetra Pak package. No acid preservatives means NOOMA doesn’t cause acid reflux or stomach issues. Many traditional sports drinks use acidic preservatives that allows them to be in plastic bottles. The Tetra Pak package is also very eco-friendly. It takes 5 to 10 times more water to produce a PET bottle vs the Tetra Pak carton. The carton itself is 100% recyclable, 75% of which is paperboard. Plastic can take hundreds or thousands of years to decompose, while paperboard can take months. Our package even has a plant-based cap.
Is this safe for kids or during pregnancy?
Answer: Yes to both. With such a simple formula and high-quality ingredients, NOOMA is a great option for kids and during pregnancy.
Any allergies to worry about?
Answer: NOOMA contains coconut water and therefore some people with specific nut allergies may not be able to try it. If you have an allergen concern consult a physician before trying NOOMA.
Does NOOMA need to be refrigerated?
Answer: NOOMA does not need to be stored cold, but does need to be refrigerated after opening. NOOMA should be consumed within a week of opening.
Is this product produced in an FDA or USDA licensed and approved facility?
Answer: Yes. NOOMA is manufactured in an SQF Level 3 Certified facility which represents the highest standard in food quality and safety. As such it is FDA and USDA approved. The facility also has GMP and HACCP certifications.
What places do you ship orders to?
Answer: At this time we only ship orders to the 48 states in the continental U.S. Our goal is to expand our shipping capabilities as soon as possible.

About Us :
Established in 2010, The Paleo Foundation was first organized for the purpose of improving the tolerability of the paleo diet, and to help adherents easily identify products that met its basic tenets. Since then, thousands of products have been certified through the Certified Paleo, Keto Certified, and lab -tested Grain-Free Gluten-Free certification programs.
Disclosures:
100% of Paleo Foundation revenue is generated through certifications. We do not accept donations, corporate sponsorships, or financially benefit from the sales of any certified products, product giveaways, or partnerships with industry contacts or retailers for the purpose of maintaining the integrity of an impartial certification standard.
Certified Paleo:
Each certification program has a different set of standards. Certified Paleo is the Paleo Foundation’s first, most popular, and highest level of certification for Paleo-compliant products. Certified Paleo Products are products that contain Paleo ingredients, but may have some 21st-century processing or packaging methods allowing for shelf stability.
Grain-Free Gluten-Free:
Grain Free Gluten Free Certified products are gluten-free and do not contain any grains of gliadin competitive residues. All Grain-Free Gluten-Free products have undergone two rounds of audits, including lab tests, and a final review to become approved for the Grain-free Gluten-free Certified Program.
Keto Certified:
The ketogenic diet is a restrictive, demanding diet that can be difficult to maintain, and tolerability of the ketogenic diet is the single most important factor limiting individual acceptance for initiation. Therefore, improving the tolerability of the ketogenic diet is crucial to preventing diet discontinuation, warranting further investigation into methods for improving palatability, improving the availability and convenience of foods that are compliant with the ketogenic diet, as well as addressing cultural and social acceptance.
The Keto Diet product market may be in a unique position to improve tolerability, especially in social and cultural environments that typically feature carbohydrate-rich “special occasion” types of foods. In 2016, the Paleo Foundation launched the world's first Keto Certified program for products with standards that were developed for adherence to a classical ketogenic diet.
