Osso Good Team
Jazz and Meredith moved across the country to begin a new adventure in San Francisco. Jazz was working for a startup whose focus was to connect consumers with responsibly raised proteins. Meredith left her healthcare job to focus on preventive health and attended The American College of Traditional Chinese Medicine. While attending school, Meredith began learning more about Food as Medicine. Bone broth hads been prescribed by Traditional Chinese Medical Doctors for thousands of years and is an excellent vehicle for Chinese herbs. Without a single source of high quality bone broth available for purchase, they began making their own. And before they knew it, The Osso Good Co. had been born.
After simmering their bone broths for a few months, they realized they weren’t the only ones looking for a high quality bone broth, made using traditional methods and so their business began to grow exponentially. Jazz's brother, Toran fell in love with the mission and direction that their company was taking. Before long, Toran moved across the country to join and assist with his financial background.
The Osso Good Co. began with the understanding that the decline in our body’s health is reflected in how we create food and raise animals and ultimately what we choose to put into our bodies. The company’s mission is to do good by the animals used, do good by the quality of the product produced, do good by the customers that support its growth, do good by the employees that help create it, and do good by the surrounding communities.
The Osso Good Co. sources responsibly raised animals from small, family run farms and 100% organic vegetables. The product quality speaks for itself in protein and collagen content as well as the ridiculously good flavors! In addition to quality ingredients, making a difference in customers’ lives and providing great service are top priorities for the Osso Good team. Last but not least, 1% of profits are donated back to the communities that need it most.

Does your bone broth contain lead?
Answer: We have lab tested our products and we're happy to say there is no lead or any other heavy metal! Generally if you use organic or better ingredients like we do the product you produce won't have traces of lead. That's why it's so important to source quality ingredients for our bone broth and soups.
What is the difference between Classic Bone Broth and AIP Compliant Bone Broths?
Answer: The only difference is in the ingredients. The AIP (AutoImmune Protocol) diet is a diet that consists of foods that help boost your immune system and fight against inflammation. Basically, these broths are a little gentler on the digestive system for people with food sensitivities such as nightshade (tomatoes). Our AIP Compliant broths don't contain onions, garlic, peppercorns, or tomatoes.
How is Osso Good Bone Broth Different?
Answer: We believe “Real food shouldn’t last Real long”. With that said, our bone broth is HIGHLY perishable, as it should be. Shelf stable bone broths are typically heated to 280° to kill off all bacteria... good and bad. This process also denatures the protein making it HARDER to absorb so you’ll have to ingest more to reap the benefits. Quality Bone broth is a food known for its gelatin content and it’s expiration date. If you are buying bone broth that doesn’t have a jello-like consistency when cold, I invite you to try Osso Good Bone Broth... Bone Broth you can eat with a spoon when cold :)
What makes it Osso Good?
Answer: Our sippable bone broth starts with organic or better ingredients. We source our bones from farms that care about the welfare of their animals and make sure they are raised the way they were intended... happy animals that are raised with standards that go beyond organic to provide us with the base of our bone broth.
How does my purchase support family farms?
Answer: We believe in using the whole animal, bones make up roughly 25% of the hanging weight of an animal which generally are just thrown away as compost or waste. Using bones provides a greater economic return for the farm and helps us produce some of the best bone broth out there.
How is the bone broth made?
Answer: We let all those amazing ingredients simmer for up to 24hrs. This process yields a flavorful, gelatin rich and nutrient-dense sippable bone broth that is beyond any other bone broth you've ever tasted, we guarantee it! Our bone broths are PALEO, KETO-FRIENDLY and GLUTEN FREE, with NO ADDED FLAVORINGS, SALT OR PRESERVATIVES.
Why do you require a $50 minimum subtotal?
Answer: Because it costs a lot to ship even one pouch of higly perishable bone broth to your door. You see, it's not just the actual shipping cost that FedEx and UPS charges us, but it's the cost of the box, thermal box liner and dry ice to keep everything cold during transit to your front door. In the age of Amazon, people expect lower shipping costs and expedited shipments, but we’re not a multi-billion dollar company that can eat the costs of shipping. If you are a return customer we offer lowered shipping rates as well. Feel free to use promo code LOVEYOURGUT for $15 off your order to help with acheiving the minimum order subtotal and help cover shipping.
How is the bone broth delivered?
Answer: We ship nationwide via FedEx and UPS. Our bone broth is shipped frozen within a compostable insulated liner and packed with dry ice to ensure it stays cold for the entire trip to your door. Upon arrival, keep frozen until ready to use.
Can I recycle your shipping box?
Answer: Our shipping boxes are RECYCLABLE and COMPOSTABLE. The green starch insulation can disintegrate in water and will break down as compost. The cardboard is 100% recyclable. So reusing isn't really an option and we prefer it that way so they can break down quickly!
How can I track my order?
Answer: Once your order has been processed and we've received payment, we'll send you a confirmation email. We start shipping every Monday to ensure delivery no later than Friday. Once it's with a shipping carrier, you'll receive a shipping notification email with tracking #.
How is our bone broth packaged?
Answer: Our bone broth is packaged in a 16oz. freezer safe, BPA-FREE stand up pouch that can be recycled once rinsed. Please do not microwave bone broth while in pouch.
Can I microwave the broth while in the pouch?
Answer: NO, please don't do that. Please refer to our preferred reheating method below for instructions
How can I thaw and reheat the bone broth?
Answer: We recommend first thawing our pouch standing up in a small bowl to catch condensation overnight or by running it under cool to warm water until thawed and then heating it in a saucepan over medium heat on the stove. We recommend that you don't let it boil, but bring it to a light simmer. Please do not reheat while in the pouch in the microwave.
Can I cook with Osso Good Bone Broth?
Answer: Yes you can! We use it as an amazing base to soups, curries, quinoa and rice... basically anywhere that water is used as an ingredient you can try. We've poached eggs in it, steamed rice and quinoa with it and add it to all our favorite soups and curry dishes for some added umami. Just use your imagination and don't forget to let us know how the experimentation goes! You can see some of our recipes at www.ossogoodbones.com/recipes.
How long will the bone broth last?
Answer: We've seen people guzzle a 16oz pouch in less than 10 seconds... but seriously, your bone broth will last up to a week refrigerated and up to 4 months frozen.
Why can't I use a promo code or get free shipping with subscriptions?
Answer: It's because you get two deep discounts with every subscription. You get one discount for frequency and another for the amount of pouches you order.
Do you give any proceeds to charity?
Answer: Yes, by supporting Osso Good, we can work together towards something better. Need more information about how we give? Checkout out our Osso Good to Give page to find out more.

About Us :
Established in 2010, The Paleo Foundation was first organized for the purpose of improving the tolerability of the paleo diet, and to help adherents easily identify products that met its basic tenets. Since then, thousands of products have been certified through the Certified Paleo, Keto Certified, and lab -tested Grain-Free Gluten-Free certification programs.
Disclosures:
100% of Paleo Foundation revenue is generated through certifications. We do not accept donations, corporate sponsorships, or financially benefit from the sales of any certified products, product giveaways, or partnerships with industry contacts or retailers for the purpose of maintaining the integrity of an impartial certification standard.
Certified Paleo:
Each certification program has a different set of standards. Certified Paleo is the Paleo Foundation’s first, most popular, and highest level of certification for Paleo-compliant products. Certified Paleo Products are products that contain Paleo ingredients, but may have some 21st-century processing or packaging methods allowing for shelf stability.
Grain-Free Gluten-Free:
Grain Free Gluten Free Certified products are gluten-free and do not contain any grains of gliadin competitive residues. All Grain-Free Gluten-Free products have undergone two rounds of audits, including lab tests, and a final review to become approved for the Grain-free Gluten-free Certified Program.
Keto Certified:
The ketogenic diet is a restrictive, demanding diet that can be difficult to maintain, and tolerability of the ketogenic diet is the single most important factor limiting individual acceptance for initiation. Therefore, improving the tolerability of the ketogenic diet is crucial to preventing diet discontinuation, warranting further investigation into methods for improving palatability, improving the availability and convenience of foods that are compliant with the ketogenic diet, as well as addressing cultural and social acceptance.
The Keto Diet product market may be in a unique position to improve tolerability, especially in social and cultural environments that typically feature carbohydrate-rich “special occasion” types of foods. In 2016, the Paleo Foundation launched the world's first Keto Certified program for products with standards that were developed for adherence to a classical ketogenic diet.
