About Us

LIVIVA was started in 2003 by a health-conscious mother, Laura, who was diagnosed with gestational diabetes during her pregnancy. Given only one option – insulin shots – Laura went looking for a better solution that would be both all-natural and healthier.

By adopting a diet low in carbohydrates and ketogenics, Laura was able to continually lower her blood sugar levels without medication.

Answer: We are found in the natural, organic, and/or gluten-free sections of your local grocery store. We can be found in both Canadian and American grocery stores.

What is the shelf life of LIVIVA pasta?

Answer: The shelf life of our Bean Pastas is 24 months and 14 months for our Shirataki pastas.

How do I cook LIVIVA pasta?

Answer: For Bean Pasta: Boil water, add pasta and simmer 2-4 minutes or until al dente. Rinse pasta immediately with cold water and drain. Serve with your favourite sauce or vegetables. For Shirataki Pasta: Rinse thoroughly and drain. Be sure to squeeze out all excess water. Dry with paper towel. Serve with your favorite sauce or vegetables.

How do I store LIVIVA pasta?

Answer: Liviva products are shelf stable and should be stored at room temperature. Shirataki pasta should not be frozen.

What is in your pasta?

Answer: We only use all-natural ingredients that are gluten-free.

Are there any allergens in LIVIVA pasta?

Answer: Shirataki has no allergens present. In Bean pasta, there is soy present.

What does keto-certified mean?

Answer: It is a very stringent certification that requires your products to meet ketogenic diet standards. Our pastas contain less than 12 g of net carbs based on Keto Certification requirements.

What does “net carbs” mean?

Answer: The term "net carbs" refers to the carbs that are actually absorbed by your body. To calculate the net carbs in each serving, simply subtract the grams of fiber per serving from the total number of carbs per serving. Our pastas are low in net carbs so they will not spike your glucose levels.

Are LIVIVA products from China?

Answer: Producing the highest quality foods is our top priority. So, we go direct to the source to ensure freshness. The beans and konjac root used in our Bean and Shirataki Pastas are harvested and processed using all-natural ingredients where they are natively grown in China. All of our ingredients are examined and held to the highest quality standards to guarantee that they are both 100% organic and healthy to consume.
