The Pagel

Our Pagels are hand rolled, boiled and slow baked to perfection. Pagels are Paleo, Vegan and Kosher. Pagels are a great bread, muffin or bagel replacement for those that choose a Plant Based Lifestyle or a healthier bread option.

Enjoy the crunch, satisfaction and satiation of eating bread without the guilt. Pagels are a healthy alternative to bagels or bread. Since our products have no fillers their physical size is limited but their crunch, flavor and awesomeness are unparalleled! 70% of our ingredients are Resistant Starch that go undigested. Our Pagels & English Muffins pass directly through the stomach and go on to the colon where they act as a pre-biotic and aid in digestion.

About the Brand

As avid supporters of the Paleo lifestyle and parents to Gluten Free children, our family has had a clean and healthy diet for years. However, we were consistently disappointed with the lack of tasty Paleo and Gluten Free baked goods on the market. While on a family vacation we were introduced to cassava flour and it’s power to make outstanding bread, bagels, chips, and more.

After endless research and lots of inspiration, our Pagel, a Vegan, Gluten Free, Kosher and Paleo friendly bagel was born! It was love at first taste for our friends and family who encouraged us to continue baking Paleo and Gluten Free mouthwatering goodies. Soon after, Bedrock Bakers was created. Our Pagels are made from only the healthiest plant based ingredients. We can’t get enough of them and cannot wait for you to give them a try.

Is it okay that my Pagels arrived thawed?
  • Yes, that is totally normal. Pagels ship frozen and thaw in transit. Please make sure you slice and refreeze them as soon as they arrive.
What is the best way to prepare the Pagels?
  • We recommend thawing them at room temperature for 20-30 mins before toasting until they are golden.
What certifications do Pagels have?
  • Pagels are Certified Gluten Free, Certified Paleo, Certified Vegan, Certified Kosher.
Can people with Celiac eat Pagels?
  • Yes. Our Pagels are manufactured in a dedicated, certified Gluten Free Facility.
Can Pagels be stored in the refrigerator?
  • Pagels can be stored in the refrigerator for a couple of days, but for optimal freshness, we recommend keeping them frozen until you are ready to enjoy.
Are the Pagels keto friendly?
  • Our primary ingredient is Cassava flour, made from the root of the Cassava plant, which is high in resistant starch. This is a type of starch that evades digestion; this is what makes a starch “resistant. As a result Cassava is known to have a low glycemic index and may have minimal blood sugar spike after eating. Carbohydrates sometimes have a negative reputation, but that is changing as we become more knowledgeable about various types of starch. When starches are digested, they usually degrade into glucose. Resistant starch does not raise glucose like traditional starches because it is not digested in the small intestine. Though each person’s body functions slightly differently, eating resistant starch may improve glucose tolerance and offer additional satiety (the sensation to be full).
